IIT Ropar – Job Description
Applications are invited from the Indian nationals for the position of Research Associates (RA on contract) to work in a DRDO CARS project with contract number DEBEL/20CR0003/BMT/19-20, entitled “Kinematic Modelling and Task-based Synthesis of Lower-Limb Exoskeleton for Defense Services” under the supervision of undersigned.
The short-term project focusses on two major objectives – Kinematic modeling and workspace analysis of the existing human-exoskeleton system, and Gait-data-based optimal synthesis of hybrid architectures for leg-exoskeleton.
Post: Research Associate
Maximum Duration: Six months (extendable to one year)Emoluments: Rs. 8,000 per month (consolidated).
Essential Qualifications: BE/BTech in Mechanical/Mechatronics or other relevant streams, with minimum marks 70 % (CGPA 7.5). Outstanding candidates of 3rd year and final year (BTech/BE Mechanical/Mechatronics or related fields) may also apply.
Desirables: Exposure in Robot kinematics, bio-mechanics, optimal design. Proficient in Programming skills as Matlab, C/C++/Python, and professional modeling software, say Solidworks.
